Volume 1 Part 2: LOTT - Backbiting Before Backstabbing

(Volume 1) Part 2
Betrayal by Blood, Bond, Sister, or Brotherhood

CPTSD Side Effect Alert
Betrayal trauma by trusted figures causes identity fragmentation, emotional paralysis, and a fear of authentic connection. It often triggers deep isolation and existential grief: “If the people who ‘loved’ me could do this, who am I really safe with?”

Backbiting is often the doorway. Betrayal is the knife.Once your image is publicly altered through gossip or group distortion, the betrayal phase begins.

This is where former friends, relatives, coworkers, or partners:
  • Withhold support
  • Rewrite your story
  • Use your pain for clout or distance
  • Pretend they “don’t know” what’s happening
THE DARK ART OF ABANDONMENT
There is a ritualistic energy behind abandonment. It mimics crucifixion. It mimics exile. It mimics the betrayal of sacred trust. But what makes betrayal spiritual is when those with sacred bonds—like blood, love, or shared missions—become part of the targeting.

They betray you not just to save themselves… but to maintain their image, gain favor, or avoid punishment from the same system that targeted you. This is where the true heartbreak lies.

SACRED TEXTS ON BETRAYAL
  • Bible (Psalm 41:9): “Even my close friend, someone I trusted… has turned against me.”
  • Qur’an (8:27): “Do not betray Allah and the Messenger, nor knowingly betray your trusts.”
  • Bhagavad Gita: “A person who abandons a duty to protect those under their care accumulates sin.”
In other words: betrayal isn’t passive. It’s an action. A removal of energetic loyalty.

THE SHATTERED MIRROR
  • Victims of betrayal by close ones often experience:
  • Cognitive dissonance: “How could they do this to me?”
  • Identity collapse: “Was it all a lie?”
  • Shame spirals: “Maybe I deserved this.”
But betrayal is not your shame to carry. It is a reflection of their spiritual agreements, not yours. If they could give you up to preserve their comfort, they never truly protected your purpose.

Your awakening may have revealed a truth they were too afraid to face. Your voice may have challenged a lie they were too invested in maintaining.

And so… they let you fall.

But you did not break.

You rose…
